Solihull Active has put together a funding webpage to support individuals and
organisations that require support in applying for funding. We recognise the vital role that funding plays in the development of sport and physical activity in the community. The website has numerous funding & grant providers for you to view which are based on a local, regional and national level.
Funding amounts and restrictions vary between organisations so please make sure that you read the relevant guidelines carefully to see whether you or your organisation qualifies.
Funding programmes currently open:
- North Solihull Partnership Small Grants
A pot of £10,000 will be distributed across North Solihull in the form of small grants, from which community groups are able to apply for up to £500 for local, community led activities.
These should focus on the following activity areas:
- Sports
- Recreation
- Leisure
- Improve peoples opportunities
- Benefit the wider community
- Extend access and participation
Organisations who were previously successful can apply again, although applications from groups who have not been awarded a grant before will be prioritised.
Groups need to be constituted or have a set of rules, but don’t necessarily need a bank account, as another organisation, who has a bank account, can hold the funding on your behalf.
Applications are now being accepted, the deadline for submissions is midday 4th January 2012.
